The Liberties is a minimal home located in Dublin, Ireland, designed by Scullion Architects. A small terraced house in inner-city Dublin house is refurbished using a palette of four materials – brick, concrete, white plaster and black Valchromat – to create a robust and enduring living space. Distant views of a nearby landmark church emphasize connections with the locality and expand the perception of space in an otherwise compact home. Custom joinery provides concealed storage and integrated services, maximizing the available space for socializing, eating and cooking.
