TS-H_01 is a minimal interior located in Kirchdorf, Switzerland, designed by Strala. Inner walls structure a house not only in a spatial sense but also represent social connections and separations. For instance, depending on how children’s rooms are arranged, the offsprings are either protected, guarded or spied on by their parents. Architecture can give all three of these “parent-child relationships” a home. In a miraculous way, architecture inevitably becomes a built sociology with the possibility to unfold or neglect our emotional life. And this is where architecture becomes interesting: because it has direct access to our inner consciousness.
