Winter’s House is a minimalist residence located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, designed by DualSpace Studio. Understanding the home’s challenges, the designers prioritized a more open layout for the living area, ensuring the dog could navigate with ease. The consideration extended to the furniture pieces as well. The sofa’s back panel was meticulously designed to be as slim as possible. This allowed the homeowner to showcase a few personal items while ensuring the curved edges would prevent Winter from potential injuries. Recognizing the importance of flexibility in modern interiors, the designers introduced an innovative feature – a hideaway table nestled within the cooking island. This clever design choice not only optimizes the available space but also offers the homeowners versatility. Whether they are entertaining guests or enjoying a quiet evening, they can expand or condense their dining area as needed. Furthermore, space-saving doesn’t stop at the kitchen. A compact foldable bedside table was added to the design scheme. While it serves as an efficient use of space, it also doubles as a convenient charging station for devices.
