Woning Affligem is a minimal house located in Affligem, Belgium, designed by Tom Vanhee. The former textile factory was transformed into tiny house. The architects kept traces of the renovations in the past and added a new layer to the building. The existing concrete floor with visible steel structure was renovated as well as finishing the floor of the living space. They kept the existing wooden roof structure with steel purlins visible. They are supporting a new industrial sarking roof. They isolated also all the walls and floors while the existing window openings received new glazings. A big window on the head of the building opens the living space with a nice view on the street. It brings a relation to the street without compromise to privacy.
