ZORI Hair Salon is a minimalist space located in Hyogo, Japan, designed by Takashi Yamamori. The space consists of a number of industrial materials including steel and exposed concrete. The ceiling is also exposed, revealing the ventilation systems and piping within the structure. The industrial aesthetic is matched with a minimal frameless mirror and a custom made wall constructed of wood. The wooden wall is comprised of uniquely sliced frames, creating an interesting topography of receding and extended edges.
