The Folia Collection is a minimalist lighting collection by the Mexico City-based designer, Federico Stefanovich. Consisting of sculptural floor, table, wall, and ceiling lamps, Folia seamlessly blends form and function through its nature-inspired designs and use of durable raw materials.

In designing this collection, Stefanovich looked to the organic and geometrical forms found in the natural world for inspiration. The stem-like structures of plants, mushrooms, and other foliage informed the form of the lampshades and bases of each fixture, while the design itself takes into consideration each light’s center of gravity to ensure symmetry and balance.

Each piece is crafted using wood and metal, timeless materials that have been transformed through the handmade processes of bronze casting, wood carving, and metalworking. The use of these materials lends to the design’s structural stability, while the brass surfaces allow a hidden source to reflect a soft glow from the fixtures.
