Lámina 165 is a minimalist light fixture by Antoni Arola for Spanish lighting brand Santa & Cole. Originally designed as a suspension lamp in 2018, the collection has grown in 2023 to include a floor and wall model. The simple design uses a line of light and a thin, curving metal sheet to create a faint yet effective diffusion. The concave, sculptural shade extends over five feet, allowing for considerable illumination either horizontally or vertically. A marriage of the poetic and the practical, Lámina is a system that upholds the benefits of reflected light by employing obvious shapes in dynamic formats. Versatile in its application, this sleek design can be manipulated to create a wide range of lighting conditions: concealed and diffuse or direct and vibrant.
