LOT is a minimalist light created by German-based designers FOOLS GOLD. FOOLS GOLD is a young and interdisciplinary studio, run by Hauke Unterburg and Julian Wallis. The free-standing lamp LOT is a balancing act. It is leaned against the wall without any additional fixation and looks as if it will fall over at any moment. However, a counterweight at the bottom stabilises the lamp and ensures that it always swings towards the room with the direction of sight. This kinetic interplay and its minimalistic appearance give LOT a lightness that approaches that of light itself.
