Mag Lamp is a minimal lamp created by Tokyo-based designer Tatsuo Kuroda. The mag lamp is a table lamp that can be freely adjusted in height and direction. The lampshade, made of laminated polypropylene, is attached to the iron frame with a magnetic fixture, and is easily slid or rotated with one hand to adjust its height and direction. The power cord, which is often a potential obstacle when it comes to adjustable lighting fixtures, is incorporated as one of the design elements in the overall lamp design. The idea of this table lamp is currently in the prototype stage, yet it could be developed into a floor lamp or a wall mounted lamp.
