STANDARD is a minimalist design created by Belgium-based designer Sylvain Willenz for Menu. STANDARD light is a take on the archetypal and well-known industrial lamp. Instead of metallic and separate elements, STANDARD is made from one blown glass piece and is a completely closed volume, which for its scale is a technical achievement. STANDARD shifts the context of the industrial light into the domestic landscape, through the use of white opal, smoked and transparent glass.The result is a simple and classic, yet new suspension lamp.
