Tripod Light is a minimal light created by Porto-based designer Dyvik Kahlen. In the realm of contemporary design, Dyvik Kahlen emerges as a beacon of innovation and thoughtful creation. At the heart of Dyvik Kahlen’s ethos lies an unwavering dedication to the alchemy of space transformation. Their practice seamlessly weaves together the threads of furniture design, architectural ingenuity, and urban planning, all united by a singular purpose: to elevate the human experience through the built environment. A testament to their design prowess is the Tripod Light, a paragon of minimalist illumination. This creation, part of their evocative Daily Camping series, distills lighting to its purest essence. Produced in a limited edition of twelve, each piece is meticulously assembled in their Porto atelier. The light’s genius lies in its elegant simplicity: a trinity of detachable legs supporting a singular disc that houses the illuminating elements. This design not only embodies the studio’s commitment to versatility but also serves as a tactile manifesto of their philosophy—where form and function dance in perfect equilibrium, and where the essence of an object is celebrated through its most fundamental components.
