Green Calendar is a minimalist design created by Japan-based designer Nosigner. The designers created an original calendar for Okawa Printing, which is a social printing company that emphasizes environmental-friendly processes. For this original calendar, they used paper made from thinned wood and environmentally friendly ink. This paper represents wood from trees, which are thinned from Japanese forests in order to protect them. For the base, they also used thinned cedar, to realize a design with low environmental impact. The thinned-wood base is cut diagonally, to allow placement of pens and other small items.
