Ode Lamp Program is a minimalist design created by London-based designers Industrial Facility. The Ode lamp program was first discussed during the development of the Locale furniture system in 2013. Herman Miller and Industrial Facility saw an opportunity to create a collection of energy efficient LED lamps of different heights and sizes, that could be either freestanding or mounted to a variety of surfaces, such as countertops, credenzas, tables or communal desks. The family of accent lighting includes table lamps, freestanding floor lamps, and surface-integrated lamps in both black and white. Soft, anti-glare LEDs and spun steel shades create a pool of diffused illumination. The lamp involves a dynamic proximity switch – wether the lamp is freestanding or integrated into a surface, the lamp can simply be touched for on and off control anywhere on its surface.
