Saint-Jean is a minimal space located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, designed by Ijarchitecture. The interior, conceived by IJarchitecture, adopts a minimalist approach that underscores the bakery’s philosophy and highlights its plant-based creations. The design integrates original wooden and terrazzo flooring with bespoke oak and white concrete furniture, creating a balanced blend of tradition and modernity. Furnishings, including shelves and stools from Danish design brand Frama, contribute to the space’s clean and understated aesthetic. Large glass surfaces welcome natural light, while traditional Dutch stained glass windows add subtle pops of color and visual intrigue. Walls coated in soft gray clay plaster provide a neutral backdrop that enhances the vibrant hues and textures of the bakery’s offerings. The overall ambiance is both serene and inviting, offering a peaceful escape within the lively urban fabric of Amsterdam.
