R-grey is a minimalist house located in Fukushima, Japan, designed by Life Style Koubou. The home is characterized by stilts that lift the main volume off the ground, a common practice seen in residences located in hurricane-prone locations close to shore. The building consists of vertical wooden slats that form a curved volume, with small slit windows located at the bottom of the structure in order to protect the privacy of the residents.
