Manchester Terrace is a minimalist home located in Manchester, United Kingdom, designed by Retallack Thompson. The basic elements of cooking, conversation and home comfort are celebrated in the refurbishment of a Victorian Terrace house. A restrained material palette was employed to provide a sense of calm and lightness. Birch plywood joinery and timber floors give a sense of warmth, whilst the 6m long stainless steel bench top gives a sense of illumination by reflecting light deep into the room from two windows either side.
