Torso Chair is a minimalist chair created by Mexico City-based designer José Bermúdez. Torso is minimal chair inspired by the straight line of human body movements. Torso is made completely with solid oak and blackened finish with special techniques and handcrafted by woodworkers inspired in Japanese joineries and aesthetic with Scandinavian simplicity. The chair was inspired by the simplicity and art that characterizes traditional Japanese woodwork. The chair was conceived as a combination of a lounge chair and a dining chair. The main purpose was to create a timeless, comfortable chair so the user could rest more instead of being uncomfortable. Torso is perfect as a decoration, to begin a conversation, a perfect piece that adapts to any kind of space.
