Take Bakery and Cafe is a minimal space located in Kagishima, Japan, designed by Hiroyuki Tanaka Architects. The building is outfitted with a corrugated metal facade and a linear array of windows that provide a glimpse of the interior from the street. Most notable within the interior is the sculptural spiral staircase that leads to the open upper level, creating double-height ceilings from the main floor. The upper level contains seating while the lower level consists of displays as well as a counter for ordering.
