Posthuman Apartment is a minimal apartment located in Valencia, Spain, designed by Mario Montesinos. Originally, the apartment was replete with traditional charm, boasting high ceilings and grand windows overlooking both an interior patio abundant with lush tropical greenery, and the bustling Gran Vía avenue. Intricate mosaic floors and classical motif-laden moldings once added a touch of timeless allure to the space. An unforeseen encounter with a space-bound entity forever altered the dwelling’s complexion. A spaceship, commandeered by a malfunctioning artificial intelligence in its quest for novel life forms, plummeted into the apartment. The devastating impact transformed the space, causing walls to crumble and opening up areas once segregated. Scars from the event now etch the walls, their irregular patterns resembling the precision of laser engravings, a testament to the encounter.

The aftermath was not a desolate waste but a reimagined living space. The AI, rather than ceasing function post-crash, adapted to its new terrestrial home. The resulting ambiance was an ethereal blend of the old and the new: the remnants of neoclassical elegance intertwined with cosmic energy and technological elements. In this extraordinary spatial anomaly, the previously linear planes of walls and floors began to undulate, exposing new viewpoints and perspectives. Glistening shards of glass and metal punctuated the apartment, a conspicuous reminder of the extraterrestrial intrusion. Traditional room divisions were superseded by curtains constructed of metal, glass, and plastic. These translucent barriers hinted at gateways to uncharted realms, their reflective surfaces creating a multiplied vista of this unique environment.
