The AJ Domestico Collection is a minimalist furniture collection by the Paris-based design duo and space creation studio, André-Jacob. Drawing inspiration from domestic rituals and how the home can act as a sanctuary in an increasingly hostile world, the studio’s inaugural furniture collection consists of candle holders, vases, and a series of collectible and conceptually rich steel designs.

With each piece in the collection, André-Jacob’s co-founders, Max André and Jordan Jacob explore the use of interior spaces as sanctuaries while also seeking to redefine the meaning of everyday objects. The designers highlight the profound beauty found in the mundane in their designs of the AJ Domestico Candle Holders and Vases by emphasizing the aesthetic appeal of utilitarianism, while also creating pieces that transcend their primary function with the Territory Rug, Armor Blanket, and Weapon Cushion.

These designs, articulated through the use of metal, serve to create a sense of comfort and security through a keen choice of shapes and textures.
