Gakugeidaigaku is a minimalist space located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by Yuichi Yoshida & Associates. While carefully working around the existing plan, the renovation of this modest one-room apartment exposes many of the structure’s original elements. Instead of utilizing modern recessed lighting, the architects decided to use an array of uncovered bulbs to present the space. Two separate sliding doors provide access to the balcony overlooking the cityscape.
