House in Yutenji is a minimal Japanese home located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by Hironori Negoro Architect & Associates. The clients, a husband and wife with their two children, wanted a central courtyard that would provide privacy, but also an outdoor extension to the rest of the home. In addition, the architects wanted to create a linear flow for basic housekeeping in order to maximize efficiency by keeping the bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, pantry, and service balcony all within a straight hallway.
