1 + n is a minimal home located in Akita, Japan, designed by Issei Katoh architectural design office. The residence is situated two meters from the road, and is slightly elevated above street level. The interior consists mainly of white tile flooring, which is easy to clean and maintains the pure white aesthetic. A series of semi-translucent blocks are situated along the internal courtyard to provide natural light within the hallway during the day.
