Plate is a minimalist space located in Niigata, Japan, designed by Takuya Hosokai. The structure houses a market and restaurant that serves and sources locally produced food. Large windows wrap around the building to provide the patrons with sweeping views of the surrounding forest. The architects wanted to create a space that would allow customers to detach from their everyday lives, and feel invigorated by the ethereal landscape.
