Residence in Kishigawa is a minimalist house located in Naga, Japan, designed by Matsunami Mitsutomo Architect & Associates. The client is a sushi chef of Wakayama, who is thoroughly passionate about his work. The architects were commissioned to create a home that would take advantage of the beautiful views of the adjacent rice fields, as well as create an open home that provides ties with the local community. The owner wanted the home to have a friendly atmosphere, so much so that friends could casually visit if they were in the area.
