Aero is a minimal desk created by Mexico City-based designer Héctor Esrawe. Of monolithic expression, Aero is composed of a single, sober, and forceful material. It defies tension and gravity with its wide top, which is stabilized by the folds of the material, providing the structural response to the piece, as well as being part of the essence in its expression. The interest in a unique material, without ornaments, where the presence of each element fulfills a function, where the constructive folds and the light provide dynamism and depth to the piece. Aero continues the interest in a constant exploration of finishes, techniques, and textures. Aero is based on the skills’ knowledge of artisan workshops by challenging them, promotes their craftsmanship and the evolution of the technique on the use of materials, as well as the link between them.
