Biau is a minimalist stool designer by Montréal-based studio Rainville Sangaré. Biau rejects the archetype of the stool. It is distinguished by its sculptural qualities and surprising comfort. Its architecture is coherent while offering a generous geometry. It expresses its materiality in solid wood as simply as possible through advanced technical resolution. 100% made in Quebec, BIAU tries to reconcile design and industry thanks to the precision of local know-how. It aims to complete the loop of solid wood processing in Quebec to offer an inspiring and avant-garde design. The object is soft, stable and reliable. It is designed for commercial and residential spaces. It is presented in ash with a slight bleached wax finish. BIAU can be manufactured in several types of wood, on request.
