Bobo is a minimal lounge chair designed by Copenhagen-based designer Omayra Maymó. Bobo was created as a result of an investigation into the versatility of tubular shapes and a formal exploration aimed at highlighting the smoothness that characterizes this design element. The designer employed this malleable and versatile shape to create the legs and then arms of the chair, making it the main design feature. One important detail of the chair is the tangential joint of the three elements: the backrest, the seat, and the armrest/leg. These parts delicately meet through minimal connections, leaving a gentle space in between them that adds visual lightness and an eye-catching detail. Bobo was designed to be a comfortable and bold armchair, with tender and adorable features. With slightly chubby and generous proportions, Bobo conveys a sense of tenderness and a fun character.
