FR04 is a minimal chair created by Belgium-based designer Arthur Vandergucht. A field that is made present by further exploring linkages and constructions is the emphasis of the design study in this collection, which focuses on establishing, justifying, and challenging design strategies from the overlapping space between design and architecture. The items are constructed from folded sheet metal sections, where clear and conventional connections are crucial. Repetition, inversion, and bends that are neither hidden nor obscured were used to create the collection. A soft steel wool was used to apply alternate circular motions to the material to obtain the matte finish. By using the same motions as before but with a glossy substance as a final finishing layer, the outcome is a paradox.
