The Mesh Console is a minimalist furniture piece by the Rotterdam-based design practice, Forever Studio. The sculptural console is part of the studio’s ongoing exploration of highly-polished, single-cast resin pieces, and exemplifies how the design duo pushes the boundaries of the material.

To create the console, designers Bienke Domenie and Sara Degenaar begin by casting the resin, then carefully perforating its surfaces to introduce texture and dimensionality. These perforations allow light to pass through, revealing varying hues, depths, and opacities within the piece. The effect brings a playful layer to the console, where the interplay of color and light animates the surfaces of its lego-like components. Each console is unique, with custom sizes and colors available upon request.

The Mesh Console reflects Forever Studio’s research-driven, experimental approach and reaffirms resin’s potential to transcend its typical applications, becoming not just a structural element, but a medium for sculptural expression and visual storytelling.
