Patio Chair is a minimal chair created by London-based designer Daniel Schofield for SCP’s collaboration with Ishinomaki Laboratory. To mark the 10 year collaboration between SCP and Ishinomaki Lab, a group of designers were invited to create a product for a special exhibition during London Design Festival. Patio is a lounge chair created through the approach led by the principals of Ishinomaki lab. It takes the overlapping A-joint, seen in a number of Ishinomaki Laboratory products, as a starting point. Made from western red cedar, it is intended for use both indoors and outdoors.
