Prince Table by IF Architecture

Prince Table is a minimalist dining table designed by Melbourne-based studio IF Architecture. The Prince Table was borne of a desire to break conventions of large communal dining. By introducing angles to a typically rectilinear form, new and surprising opportunities emerge. Each seat at the table is presented with clear sight lines to every other, rather than only to those just adjacent. Inspired by its original Art Deco context, details such as the chamfered edge to the top and irregular shaped legs are an ode to Charlotte Perriand’s designs of the era, and the table celebrates her approach of design for the “art of living”. Each sibling of the table was carefully considered to maintain the proportions and details that give the largest iteration its spirit.
