Slow Table is a minimalist coffee table created by Auckland-based designer Ted Synnott. The studio’s work is characterized by deceptively simple forms, drawing heavily upon primary shapes that exude a sense of calm. Pragmatic sensibility and perpetual curiosity towards material and process results in original, thought provoking work free from superfluous detail. The studio aims to create objects and spaces that are enjoyable for people to use. The Slow Table is an expression of traditional stone typologies in solid Oak. The offset legs give a playful sense of movement while the rounded edges invite tactile exploration.
