Steel and Stone Piano is a minimalist electronic keyboard attached to a stainless steel base, designed by Batten and Kamp, in collaboration with Henry Chu. There exists a delicate balance between form and function, tradition and innovation. The studio strikes this balance with their latest creation, limited to only three editions. Utilizing materials that evoke both the natural and the modern, Batten and Kamp combines stainless steel with found granite. The result is a tactile yet sleek structure, demonstrating the beauty of raw materials when met with a human touch. At the core of this artwork lies an electronic keyboard, representing the marriage of traditional craft and digital artistry.
