Traffic Bench is a minimalist bench created by Berlin-based designer Lucas Faber. The traffic bench draws its inspiration from the bold but reduced benches you can find in public spaces. Applying massive ash and blued flat iron as materials gives the bench a warm and comfy appearance whilst retaining its bold and rather techy character. The flat iron components are used underneath the seat to keep the massive wood perfectly plane and are applied at the same time to function as a sturdy but reversible joint between the wooden parts. Through embedded threads in the wood it is possible to assemble the bench with just few screws.
