Upgrades is a minimalist bench created by Paris-based designer Samy Rio. This 3 legged bench is made out of 4 pieces of bamboo assembled by dowel and fixed in the ground with steel insert on a concrete pad. it is a minimalist element placed in the landscape to allow a quick break or suggest a view when sited on it. This bench was drawn, built and instal during the quarantine period due to Covid19 and based on a simple thought: draw and product locally with the less impact, so a low material transformation, easy assembly (and therefore repair or recycle) for a basic and simple use.
