Apartment V is a minimalist interior located in Knokke, Belgium, designed by Charlotte Vercuysse. This bright renovation in Knokke challenges the typical DNA of a Belgian seaside apartment. The divisions between the existing living quarters were removed, to create one fluid space. In the new layout, the kitchen, living and dining area effortlessly merge into each other. The materials palette breathes the spirit of the coast. The sand-coloured pastellone floor, the off-white wall paneling with hidden storage and the sandstone kitchen worktop have been combined with warm and tactile furnishings. The sculptural free-standing kitchen cabinet in naturally-tinted iroko further blurs the boundary between the kitchen and the living area. The asymetric table in dark-stained plywood, the sofa with a rear storage unit and the walk-in wardrobe with jute door panels, were uniquely created by Charlotte Vercruysse for this project.
