BED is a minimal salon located in Osaka, Japan, designed by SIDES CORE. The project is a plan for a reservation-only salon. The store name BED wants to provide a service that allows you to relax and sleep during the procedure. The logo that expresses the world view was requested by Yu Nagaba, an illustrator as well as Salon LAND, which is run by the same owner. There was a problem of securing the number of seats in a limited area and realizing a space where people can relax and sleep without feeling oppressive while protecting the privacy of each bed. The studio devised an original partition to establish both. The partition consisted of panels with front and back sides with a thin plate stuck on only one side. The panels were crossed to create a gap and assembled structurally to ensure privacy and at the same time to create a gap in the line of sight so that the space could be unknowingly shared with the next booth.
