El Priorato is a minimal residence located in Trespaderne, Spain, designed by Atienza Maure Arquitectos. A large house in the Castilian region has been renovated by the addition of a structure that duplicates and completes the original, which was destroyed in a fire that only damaged its stone walls. Skylights attempt to bring light deep into the building’s lower levels through new white concrete arches that are sandwiched between them. A second stairwell was built right next to the old one by skilled comarca workers.
