House M is a minimal residence located in Kanagawa, Japan, designed by SEN.S. The Japanese-style room next to the living room was originally meant to be a study, but it was changed due to the family’s lifestyle and the increased need for work from home during the coronavirus pandemic. To maintain a sense of openness and communication with the family in the living room, blinds were installed as partitions. The living room features a spacious sofa and a modular system that allows for various layouts. The pure white wall surface serves as a screen and can easily transform into a theater. The simple composition and color scheme allow for flexibility in daily life.
