Invisible Electric is a minimalist exhibition space located in Shenzhen, China, designed by INFINITY STUDIO. The event is designed to immerse participants in an interactive environment where touch panels are integrated throughout the space, enabling visitors to illuminate the area by activating sensors connected to the room’s lighting fixtures. Constructed from a mix of aluminum panels and stone, the showroom also features elements crafted from 50×50 cm pine wood squares, emphasizing the use of natural materials. The design strategically incorporates T5 fluorescent tubes and aluminum fixtures arranged in a ceiling grid to mimic the effects of natural daylight, enhancing the minimalist aesthetic. The showcase is part of a broader initiative to promote sustainability in design. After its debut at Design Shenzhen, the installation will be featured at Design Shanghai. In alignment with principles of sustainability, the displays and installations are designed to be dismantled, transported, and repurposed as permanent installations in the studio.
