Liu Painting Studio is a minimal space located in Xi’an, China, designed by Atelier Mozh. The space was renovated from what was originally an interior with low ceilings. The ceiling comprises of a circle at the center, meant to encourage collaboration and gathering. A curtain circulates around this center to allow for intimate gallery showings or used as a meeting space. The client wanted a space that would feel familiar, especially of those traveling from the West.
