O XXII is a minimalist home located in Milan, Italy, designed by Opus atelier. The clients aimed to transform an apartment, which had previously housed a small atelier, into a luxury accommodation where every detail was meticulously refined. The apartment’s design features a living area centered around a walnut alcove housing a relaxation space, while symmetrical cabinetry on both sides conceals the kitchen and service areas. The transition from the living area to the sleeping quarters maintains the theme of paneled boiserie, providing access to the bedrooms.

The en-suite bathroom, which shares the resin flooring found throughout the apartment, is accentuated with Guatemala marble inserts, present in the vanity and shower. A private cinema room, decorated with darker and warmer tones, was also designed to offer a more intimate ambiance. The choice of materials contrasts traditional natural elements, such as wood and marble, with more contemporary surfaces like continuous resin. This blend of materials gives the project a sense of timelessness, balanced between tradition and modernity.
