Peek House is a minimal residence located in Brooklyn, New York, designed by Kuzman Architecture. Peek House is an alteration and additions project to a heritage Victorian house in Brunswick. The original 2 bedroom, single storey, single fronted, south facing terrace was dark, damp and too small for the family of four. The design had to provide additional bedrooms and bathrooms, upgraded modern facilities, and much needed light and volume on a very tight site. The design response was to build a first floor that could accommodate the kids bedrooms and bathroom, but just as importantly, provide void spaces that would allow Northern and Western light to penetrate the new expansive lower floor living spaces.
