Renovation in Hayama is a minimalist renovation located in Kanagawa, Japan, designed by Yoshiki Ogata + SALT. The client, an art director, holds a tremendous collection of artwork, and wanted a home that could contain these prized possessions. The architects decided to reduce the space to its absolute base elements, revealing the raw structural elements and materials. An open floor plan was created to allow the space the remain connected, as well as allow natural light to enter the deepest corners of the interior.
