Retreat Residence M is a minimal house located in Melbourne, Australia, designed by CJH Studio. The living room focuses on the ambient fireplace rather than the tv which appears like a thin frame on the wall. The soft olive green internal structure brings together the tones from its surrounding natural landscape, panelling and brickwork for texture, and continuous curtains for softening. The room is completed with a Wassily chair in the corner overlooking the space.
