Scala is a minimalist house located in Sapporo, Japan, designed by M+O. The site sits within a quiet residential neighborhood. The two-story home consists of a simple white volume utilizing white birch paneling for its facade. The architects wanted the kitchen to face the backyard in order to allow the residents to enjoy cooking whilst looking at the serene environment.
