T-HOUSE is a minimal residence located in Shizuoka, Japan, designed by Takato Tamagami. The site is a corner lot in the northeast facing the intersection of the crossroads in Yaizu City. The owner requested a one-story building, but the site was surrounded by buildings with a height of two stories or more, except for the open space opposite the intersection, so it was necessary to plan for privacy. By creating a flat building with diagonal corners cut off at the corners of a rectangle toward the southwest side, that is, the open space opposite the intersection, the architects have realized a one-story building that can secure privacy while having a large garden.
