Venice Lofts is a minimal space located in Los Angeles, California, designed by Part Office. Part Office is interested in the ambiguity and variety inherent in Los Angeles. They make work that is a logical step in the lineage of the place it is built. They do so with an empathy and appreciation of existing conditions, but also by highlighting inevitable contradictions with a thoughtful tension. For this particular space, the interior and exterior renovation of two side by side buildings totaling 44,000 sq/ft. The property, located on the Venice Boardwalk, is composed of ten 2-story live/work units with rooftop access.
