Portable Toolbox is a minimal toolbox created by Oslo-based designer Hallgeir Homstvedt for Mjölk. The Shakers have many innovative and well known solutions for storage in the home and for their own production facilities. Portable is a toolbox designed by Hallgeir Homstvedt for Mjölk and inspired by Shaker chest of drawers that often had oversized knobs for ergonomic and aesthetic reasons. Designed for the modern day architect or designer, this toolbox functions as a desktop organizer with a large knob- handle that makes it conveniently portable. Hard-woods such a oak, maple where chosen for their weight, durability and grain structure.
